🐘 Day 1: Mystical Assam Prelude
- Arrival at Guwahati Airport
- Drive to Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary – home to the highest density of one-horned rhinos
- Visit Mayong Museum of Magic – India’s ancient land of sorcery
- Stop at a traditional magician’s home for folklore & tricks
- Visit the ruins of the Mayong royal household
- Overnight in Pobitora
🚗 Day 2: Mountain Roads & Monpa Welcomes
- Early morning elephant safari through Pobitora’s misty wetlands
- Post breakfast, drive toward Dirang (8–9 hrs)
• Stop at Tezpur for riverside breakfast
• Lunch at Bomdila, enjoy local Monpa cuisine
- Arrive in Dirang by late evening
- Explore the local markets if your have time
- Stay at Dirang
🍏 Day 3: Life in Dirang Valley
- Visit Dirang Dzong – an ancient tribal fort
- Explore Dirang Monastery and interact with novice monks
- Drive up to Mandala Top – 108 stupas on a mountain ridge
- Apple & Kiwi orchard visit – taste farm-fresh fruit
- Dinner with a Monpa family, learn about their customs
- Stay in Dirang
🌿 Day 4: Valley of Birds and Bamboo
- Drive to Sangti Valley, known for:
• Migratory black-necked cranes (Nov–Feb)
• Trout fishing streams
• Quiet forest trails
- Explore Chug Valley – a hidden cultural pocket with bamboo crafts
- Optional: visit a handloom workshop
- Picnic lunch by the river
- Overnight stay at Sangti Valley
🌄 Day 5: Ascending to Tawang
- Scenic drive to Tawang
• En route, pause at Nuranang Falls – a roaring 100-meter-high cascade
• Visit local tribal markets in Tawang for textiles & yak cheese
- Try Thukpa & Zan (traditional Monpa dishes) at a family-run eatery
- Night Stay at Tawang
🕉️ Day 6: Tawang’s Spiritual Trail
- Sunrise visit to the majestic Tawang Monastery (2nd largest in the world)
- Full-day excursion to:
• Bumla Pass (India-China border, with permit)
• Sangetsar (Madhuri) Lake – prayer flags and silence
• PT Tso Lake – untouched alpine beauty
- Return to Tawang for light shopping and monastery café conversations
- Optional: Attend evening prayer at a village gompa
🌸 Day 7: Hidden Hamlet of Shergaon
- Drive to Shergaon, a lesser-known paradise of orchids, monks, and birds
- Evening stroll through pine-lined paths and local village homes
- Check into a Sherdukpen-style homestay or orchard lodge
🚶♂️ Day 8: Walks, Waterfalls & Wisdom
- Morning monastery tour – meet lamas and learn local legends
- Visit hidden waterfalls tucked in rhododendron forests
- Guided village walk: visit woodcarvers, weavers, and Sherdukpen elders
- Participate in a traditional cooking session or basket weaving demo
- Stay in Shergaon
🛍️ Day 9: Back to Guwahati via Craft Trail
- Early return to Guwahati (8–9 hrs)
- En route, light cultural and tea breaks
- Visit NEDFi Haat – curated handicrafts from all NE states
