Bomdila

Bomdila ranks as one of the most popular tourist destinations of Arunachal Pradesh, with its spectacular views of snow capped mountains, craft centres, ethnographic museum and emporium etc. Inhabited by tribes like Aka (Hrusso), Miji (Sajalong), Monpa, Sherdukpen, and Khawas, Bomdila is a photographer's delight with it's riot of colourful Buddhist flags, multicoloured handicrafts, colourful clothing and traditional cuisine, apart from the spectacular views of all the scenic beauty all around. Famous for apple orchards, handwoven carpets, traditional masks and wall hangings, this is a wonderful place to collect souvenirs of the beautiful Arunachal.

Dirang

Situated enroute to Tawang from little down of Bomdila in Arunachal Pradesh, Dirang is one of the most breath-taking travel places in North East India that is sure to cast a spell on every visitor. Engulfed in awe-inspiring Himalayan vistas sprinkled with verdant greenery, sparkling streams, enchanting waterfalls and natural hot water springs, the tiny hamlet truly makes for an idyllic getaway for nature lovers, adventure enthusiasts and cultural freaks alike. It's also a birdwatchers haven. Places to explore in and around Dirang are the famous Dirang Dzong, the National research Centre on Yak, the Sangti Valley, the Natural HOT Water Springs, the 500 yr old Kalachakra Gompa, the Thupsung Dhargyeling Monastery, the ancient Khatsung Gompa, drive to the beautiful Mandala Top, swim in the Dirang Chu river, stroll the local markets, try the local cuisines, visit the kiwi farms of go trekking.

Tawang

Located approximately 3500 mts above sea level, Tawang is one of the most popular destinations in Arunachal Pradesh. The quaint hill station is also famous for its several Buddhist monasteries which see a massive influx of travellers throughout the year. From the mesmerizing ranges of Gudpi to ethereal Tawang valley and Madhuri Lake, the sightseeing spots in Tawang will spoil you for choices. The spectacular Gorichen Peak, the highest peak in Arunachal offers surreal vistas of the town.
Apart from being a hilly abode, Tawang is also home to many glacial lakes including Sangetser and Sela which boast of crystal blue waters. The place is an ideal vacation spot for those who wish to take a break and get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Most of the peace seekers visit here to meditate at the Taktsang Gompa, a pilgrimage site surrounded by mountains and coniferous trees. Some must visit locations are the Tawang Monastery, Nuranang waterfalls, Bumla Pass, Sangester Lake, P.Tso Lake among others.
